I posted before about buying a new daily in the form of a fiesta van. Well I got the Cosworth wheels I wanted and they are on so thought I better post up a pic!

With them being 8j and an et25 they are kind of tight on the old van so I had to fit a new 195 rubber. With the aid of hairspray

Right well as most of you will know i bought a van, its a fiesta mk6 1.4 tdci van.

now anyone that will know me knows im a fordy man at heart and love fiestas thats why i chose this perticular model.

WHY i hear you scream! WTF have you gone form a 400 horse car to a measly 68hp. well basicaly i needed a cheap runner to get me back and forth to work. And this little puppy so far has given me 350 miles out of just over half a tank. WOOP.

any way the plans for it were simple, Buy it, own it, drive it, but that changed quite quick.

started off by buying coilovers, a double din dvd/blutooth/tv/radio, and my latest purchase which i am still waiting delivery on is a set of genuine 16″ 8J et25 escort cosworth rims. yes they will need stretch to fit but im pretty sure a van wont get to much attention from the old bill.

anyway plans for the near future is a set of one piece bumpers. ST/Zetec S ones are the main want but i am refusing to pay the cash that they are going for second hand. a ST spoiler and maybe some ST side skirts. other than that its tidy it up and have a wee bit of fun.

Oh was also thinking of adding an intercooler as these things dont have one as standard.

Anyway

Introducing

Well I thought it was best I show you all one of my toys.

I bought my Mk3 Fiesta RS Turbo quite a few years ago now

When I first came across the car it was sitting in my mates garage and belonged to a mutual friend, who had previously picked the car up under the premise that the ZVH (zetec bottom end CVH head) engine would be producing healthy horsepower figures when complete.

Anyway after some time trying to get the car running he gave up. And me being the avid Ford fan I thought il have that. So I parted with my cash.

The car then remained untouched in the garage for some time before I picked the car up and moved it to my lock up where it remained for another year untouched.

I had decided that the ZVH was a bit of an unknown to me as I did not know the person who built it so set about finding a good quality base CVH to throw in the car as a temp measure.

I rebuilt the CVH and did a few bits to it. When removing the ZVH I found a nice brand new T2 Hybrid Turbo. Which when removing I had noticed that the gasket on the oil return pipework did not have a hole in it for the oil to exit the turbo, this confirmed I was right to remove the ZVH.

Anyway once the engine was in I had some problems with the wiring loom and the underlying fault was a dodgy ECU, so this was replaced.

I decided to remove the bodykit to give the car a tidy up, this was when I found the ROT. A bit disheartened I set about cutting it out. And now the car has been fully resprayed and is looking fresh.

The RS has not been touched in some time due to having a baby and moving house.

But It will be on the road this year I promise.

Disco update

Well since i got the car on friday, its recieved a good clean as it was in a sorry state, i have added the 22s and created a shopping list,

some stuff to bring it up to scratch some stuff to make it look good.

so far i have ordered

a 09 spec soft leather stearing wheel to get rid of the poor quality standard item
and a set of colour coaded arches

on my shopping list is
HST kit – discontinued and like rocking horse shit
new tint on all the windows as its a bit of a mess
new centre consol as the leather is damaged on the one in the car
colour code all the other bits
the a good old service
